Lord Stern, an authority on the costs involved in responding to global warming, predicts that attitudes towards meat eating will change substantially as the cost of meat increases in response to climate change legislation.
He makes the case that public attitudes towards cigarettes and alcohol have changed significantly over the last generation and that similar changes are in store for the consumption of meat.
He goes on to stress that President Obama's leadership is necessary to keep global climate change agreements on track.

For what it may be worth, Kathy and I haven't eaten any cow products in over 30 years and are in perfectly good health. In addition, we are entering our golden years with a significantly lower chance of colon cancer and heart disease. That's a nice benefit for a life time of being kind to cows.
