Solar Storms Can Be Expensive
As if we didn't already have plenty of things to worry about...
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says the sun is entering a period of increased solar activity. Why should we care? The National Academy of Sciences says a severe solar storm could cause one to two TRILLION dollars worth of damage to satellites and electrical systems. A solar storm of this magnitude was recorded in 1859.
